Phantom 105.2

For those outside the greater Dublin area who may not be aware, Phantom 105.2 is an independently owned and operated radio station broadcasting rock and independent music to Dublin and beyond via the web, 24 hours a day. Their formula is simple – they don’t play disposable rubbish! Put this together with an emphasis on local artists, with real music fans behind the microphone and plenty of listener input. Modus won the tender to comprehensively redesign and redevelop the Phantom 105.2 website back in 2006. Working closely with Brain Daly, Phanton’s Marketing Manager, we integrated a brand new website template with the new content management system.

Over time, we added new features such as an event guide, what’s playing now, photo galleries, social media and pretty much every bell and whistle you can think of. It seems to have done the trick, as Modus has now won a total of four awards for the Phantom site. A Digital Media Award for Best Entertainment Content in 2008, was quickly followed by an Irish Web Award for Best Radio website. Phantom retained this title in 2009 and then David Henry won the Web Developer Excellence award at the 2010 Irish Internet Association and Enterprise Ireland Net Visionary Awards.
