Claire Byrne launches new Dunamaise Arts Centre web site

Broadcaster Claire Byrne pushed the button to launch the new web site of the Dunamaise Arts Centre, www.dunamaise.ie, at a ceremony in Portlaoise. The new site, designed and developed by Modus has comprehensive listings of all the events taking place at the arts centre and a new booking system which allows visitors to select their preferred seats. A fresh, contemporary design was required with a robust content management system (CMS) which could be managed easily in-house by Dunamaise Arts Centre staff. The home page carries listings in A-Z and chronological orders. There is also a slideshow showcasing the main events that Arts Centre staff wish to promote. The new site has a content management system allows Dunamaise staff to manage and update event listings, news and static information like venue history, technical specifications and facilities, location, etc. Events are entered into the CMS, then content is automatically pushed to Facebook and Twitter.

Speaking at the launch, as well as Claire Byrne, were Louis Brennan of Laois County Council, Ann Goodwin of Laois Partnership (which part-funded the project) and Louise Donlon, director of the Dunamaise Arts Centre.
