Modus has just launched the redesigned and redeveloped horizon2020.ie for Enterprise Ireland. Horizon 2020 is a European Union initiative being promoted in Ireland by Enterprise Ireland. Horizon 2020 is divided into 3 main areas: Excellent Science, Competitive Industries and Better Society.

Each of these priorities addresses a European issue. Excellent Science will build up the capacity of excellent scientists and the research capacity of Europe; Competitive Industries will underpin the competitiveness of industry in Europe and maximise its growth potential; Better Society will address major societal challenges of concern not only to European citizens but at a global level and with a new focus on innovation led activities. In addition, the Better Societies’ challenge will allow the social sciences and humanities scientific community to study issues such as smart and sustainable growth, social transformations in European societies, social innovation and creativity, the position of Europe as a global actor as well as the social dimension of a secure society.
