LimeTreeTheatre.ie (Limerick) now up-and-running

Modus has just launched the web site for the Lime Tree Theatre – Limerick’s and Ireland’s newest venue for theatre and the performing arts. Based on the campus of Mary Immaculate College in Limerick city centre, the brand new 510 seat theatre will play host to the best in local, national and international performing arts.  To celebrate its opening, the Lime Tree Theatre is delighted to welcome to the city the Abbey Theatre with its iconic production of The Plough and the Stars by Sean O’Casey. The National Theatre comes to Limerick for the first time with a main stage Abbey show in many years and it will be a theatre event of real significance. Theatre lovers from Limerick and throughout the mid-west will be in for a real treat. The official opening will take place on Tuesday, October 30th with the play performing for the rest of the week up to Saturday, November 3rd, nightly at 8pm and two matinees: on Wednesday, Oct 31st and Saturday, Nov 3rd at 2.30pm. Performances in the venue start in mid-September – all you have to do is be sure to sign up and come along!
